Vagaram Choudhary is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans drawing, painting,
installation, and moving image. He holds a M.A. from M.L.S. University, Udaipur (2002),
and an Advanced Cinematic diploma from Maya Academy of Cinematic Arts, Mumbai
(2003). His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Jaipur Art Week, CIMA Gallery
(India), Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts (India), La Nature Festival (Belgium),
Bewegter Wind (Germany), Reid Hall – Columbia Global Center (France), Fundació
Setba (Spain), and Mehrangarh Fort Museum, Jodhpur.
Solo shows include NOOK, Berlin, OK, and In Between, Berlin. Awards include the State Art Award by Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi (2005), HRD Young Artist Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India (2003–04), and multiple honors from Lalit Kala Akademi and Camlin Art Foundation. Vagaram Choudhary’s art engages with space, nature, and socio-political narratives, creating dialogues between tradition and contemporary expression.
